Portions of Price and Rusk Counties were collected on film 2009-2011, peak fall, 12”, stereo-imagery. Flights for other parts of those counties and for the remainder of the state were contracted between 2012 – 2022 and collected 4-band, 18”, peak fall, stereo imagery. The entire state is covered on an 8-year rotation as conditions allow. For more information or product specifications, contact the WI DNR Division of Forestry. Landsat Enhanced Thematic Mapper Plus (ETM+) imagery displays at map scales smaller than 1:760,000. The Landsat image resolution is 14.25 meters by 14.25 meters. Wisconsin DNR staff downloaded the Landsat mosaics in March 2010 from the USGS Global Visualization Viewer (GloVis) for use as a small-scale image backdrop for WDNR image services. WI DNR recognizes NASA and USGS for making source data available. For more information, visit https://dnr.wisconsin.gov/feedback and click on Geographic Services Information.
