NR 812.14(10), Wis. Adm. Code. GIS locations of this layer should not be solely relied upon to make compliance decisions. The presence or absence of geologic formations should be verified during well construction.

QUALITY ASSURANCE: Please be advised that this dataset has not undergone a quality assurance (QA) review. Formation boundaries were digitized based on data sets of varying quality. At the time of the screening, if detailed maps were not available, staff provided an estimate of the general location of the boundary. The QA review process includes verifying whether the boundaries accurately represent the limits of the Maquoketa Shale formation as depicted in available and emerging data and updating it if necessary.
