Description: The Wisconsin Annual Effluent Phosphorus Loads (1995 - 2011) coverage provides an annual phosphorus load for municipal and industrial dischargers that have associated monitoring data (discharge and phosphorus), have a geolocated outfall, are not located in a extremely urbanized area (i.e. Milwaukee), and do not discharge directly into Lake Superior, Lake Michigan, or the Mississippi River. The loads were calculated from the permitted point source discharge and phosphorus concentration records that were manually acquired through the WDNR System for Wastewater Applications, Monitoring & Permits (SWAMP) interface by Jim Schmidt (Water Resources Engineer, WDNR). The records obtained represent effluent being released to surface waters only.
