Description: Water quality assessment data includes determination of the current use of the waterbody for a given designated use. For fish and aquatic life use, the current use is listed provided in this spatial data layer from WATERS. All waters of the state are "not assessed" and "community unknown" unless some analysis has been conducted on the water. Most data was derived from historical water quality assessments published in Water Quality Management Plans (Basin Plans). This data is stored and managed in the Water Assessment, Tracking and Electronic Reporting System.
