Description: DNR/BTS staff downloaded OpenStreetMap (OSM) Roads data for Wisconsin from the GeoFabrik website in May, 2016: http://www.geofabrik.de/data/download.html . Additional information about OSM is avaialble on the GeoFabrik site: http://www.geofabrik.de/geofabrik/openstreetmap.html . BTS staff projected the data to WTM, and added several attributes to the Roads feature class to facilitate use of the OSM data in DNR cached vector basemaps. BTS staff periodically update this data set as we receive information about errors or missing data. For more information, contact the DNR GIS Services Section. GIS Section staff periodically update the DNR's version of OSM Roads as we become aware of specific issues with the naming or location of road features in the data.
