Description: This feature class represents the southern boundaries of the 1837 and 1842 treaty areas of the Ojibwe Ceded Territories in Wisconsin as delineated by the Voigt Decision (State of Wisconsin v. State of Wisconsin (LCO V), 686 F.Supp. 226 (W.D. Wis. 1988); Lac Courte Oreilles v. State of Wisconsin (LCO VI), 707 F.Supp. 1034 (W.D. Wis. 1989); Lac Courte Oreilles v. Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources staff downloaded updated Ceded Territory in Wisconsin data from the Great Lakes Indian Fish and Wildlife Commission (GLIFWC) website in April, 2015. DNR staff merged the southern boundary line with a portion of the northern Wisconsin state outline.
