This polygon feature class provides an index grid based on latitude and longitude intervals corresponding to the USGS topographic quadrangle series at 1:24,000 scale. The latitude/longitude interval corresponding to this quadrangle index is 7.5 minutes latitude by 7.5 minutes longitude. In addition to the Quad Name and USGS Identifier information, DNR staff added attribute information about the Quad Publication Date, Photo Revision Date, and Photo Inspection Date using information in the USGS 24K DRG map collars; more information is provided in the metadata: http://dnr.wi.gov/maps/gis/documents/quad_index_24k.pdf . |
