The mobile Private Forest Lands Open for Public Recreation web mapping application works on iOS and Android Operating Systems.

On mobile devices, the normal touch select and two finger zoom functionality works with Private Forest Lands Open for Public Recreation web mapping application.

When you select a point with the map at a larger scale (for example statewide view) you may select more than one point.  This will appear as a number (1 of # number) in the upper left hand corner of the land description dialog box. You can see the information for each of the points selected by clicking on the forward and back arrows in the header.

Zoom to in land description dialog box may zoom too close to the map for your purposes. After using the tool, you may need to use the zoom tool on the upper left side of the application to back away from the map.

If you're using a desktop computer and the application stops responding or if you want to "start over" click the F5 key on your keyboard. This will refresh the website and restart the application.

The application was designed to display on 1024x768 screen resolution (or better).  If you have an older computer with a screen resolution of 800x600 or less, you may not see all the information or toolbars available.  You will need to use the vertical and horizontal scroll bars on the right side and bottom of the page to view the complete application.

The application was designed for MS Internet Explorer 8. If you are using a different internet browser you my experience behavior not described in this help manual. Internet Explorer 10, Safari, Google Chrome, and Mozilla Firefox have all been used to successfully access the application but are not supported by the WIDNR.
